Around the house this week
We've been having a lot of fun lately with the game Banagrams. It's a fast and easy game and it gives your brain a bit of a work out. It's been amazing to see Peter and even Gaëlle's progression as they have played the game. Peter can beat us all and Gaëlle can put together quite a few 3 letter words all on her own.
Plus, as Emily likes to tell us, you can slip it in your bag and take it with you anywhere.
We all highly recommend it.
The creativity just never ends around here. Robin has been letting the kids do some things in his workshop. They both love it. One of them came up with the idea of making their own guitars, or geetars, as they call it.
Robin helped them with the jigsaw and they both managed to get the nails in themselves and a quick trip to the dollar store provided the "strings". Then they both set about decorating their creations.
One of Gaëlle's latest activities is playing restaurant. She actually pronounces her English words very well but this is one word she has difficulties with. She calls it "Hestaunt". When she plays "Hestaunt" at an actual mealtime, she puts on her apron and goes around taking our orders. It's so cute to see her imagination and the joy she finds in simple things.
