Who's 14?

Yep, my baby turned 14 last month.  I can so clearly remember the day of her birth.  The ice covered car that took me 30 minutes to clean off.  Baking a chicken, chocolate cake, and fresh rolls for my mother-in-law's birthday.  Completely cleaning the house.  Watching my husband watch the olympics.  I love to say that, but I really didn't want his help.  For the first time in my life, I wanted to do it all.  I felt great and I just wanted to be busy.  Then the shortest delivery, evah!  An easy delivery, an easy baby, and an easy teenage girl.  Actually, a delightful teenage girl!  Just a joy to have around and be around.  Love ya.

All grown up

So many changes in our family once again.  We now have 3 fully licensed drivers in the house.  How did this happen?  Well, I know how it happened, but where did time go?  I just love to see all the stages my kids go through and the teenage years are no exception.  They have been fun.  Emily feels so grown up as she pulls out of the driveway by herself.  And I love hearing her pull into the driveway at 10:30 pm after her shift at work, from the comfort and warmth of my bed!  Just know that I have to tell you to "Be careful!" every single time you take the car.  I think it's the part of the mothering gene.
